Metastatic
Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common type of cancer diagnosed worldwide. In recent decades, the overall incidence of CRC has decreased among older adults because of screening and lifestyle factors; however, at the same time, incidence is increasing among younger adults. The 5-year relative overall survival (OS) for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) is approximately 15%. Approximately 33% of patients with CRC will develop metastases either at presentation or follow-up.
